Catalina, located in the Tucson Metro area, experiences a semi-arid climate characterized by hot summers and mild winters, which can significantly impact indoor air quality. During the scorching summer months, dust storms are frequent, bringing in particulate matter that can settle indoors, leading to potential health concerns for residents. Homes in Catalina are typically constructed with less insulation, resulting in increased air exchange with outside conditions. This makes air quality testing crucial to identify indoor pollutants such as allergens and dust that may accumulate in living spaces when windows are often kept closed to combat heat.

Additionally, Catalina's population of around 7,800 can lead to an increase in indoor activities during the hotter months, raising the concentration of indoor air contaminants. High humidity levels, particularly during the monsoon season, can also contribute to mold growth and further deteriorate indoor air quality. By putting air quality testing services into action, Catalina residents can ensure their homes remain safe havens against allergens and air pollutants, promoting a healthier indoor environment for families and reducing health risks associated with poor air quality.
